Arch Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Caseworker, to work in the Waltham Forest area. The service provides housing related support to clients at risk of homelessness to help them secure settled accommodation.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working from Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM. Cover is required for 3 months. The pay rate is £13.80 per hour PAYE with £1.67 holiday pay, totalling £15.47 per hour.

Please note: This is a hybrid working role; you will mainly be working remotely from home with some attendance to the office in Waltham Forest. It also involces lone working

In this position, you will be required to:

- Hold a caseload of key clients and carry out regular key working sessions resulting agreed support plans focusing on the prevention or relief of homelessness and the sustainment of subsequent tenancies for at least eight months.
- Complete high quality risk management for clients utilising information from a range of stakeholders and the client themselves.
- Work with clients to ensure an individual package of support is provided in a way that is focused and allows the client to function independently.
- Deliver support in a strengths based manner with clear defined support objectives outlined leading towards agreed goals.
- Liaise with internal and external specialists and external agencies in order to maximise client support services, resources and funding.
- Work with the local housing options team to ensure clients referred to the service are suitable and where not, why this is the case.
- Minimise risk to clients by identifying, reporting and following up any safeguarding concerns
- Assist service users to develop life skills and partake in meaningful occupation activities to promote increased independence and involvement with the community.

To apply for this role, you must have;

- Experience of working with homelessness
- An understanding of securing accommodation in the private rented sector; with a demonstrable knowledge of Housing and other related Legislation including the Homeless Reduction Act
- Experience of completing high quality support plans which are collaborative and focused on setting and achieving goals.
- Experience of working collaboratively with a number of different stakeholders in the public, private and voluntary sector to improve outcomes for clients.
- The ability to work within a strengths and recovery based model and engage and motivate people to move towards an appropriate level of independence and inclusion.
- Experience of delivering high quality, structured and time limited interventions that prevented or relieved homelessness.
- Experience of supporting clients to sustain their tenancy.
