Children Support Worker

Arch Resourcing is currently recruiting for Children's Support Workers to work in a Short Break Centre in Brent.

The successful candidate will work as part of the team providing appropriate support and care for Children and Young People with profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex health needs, physical disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders.

Candidates will be part of team of committed staff to provide the highest quality of care in a homely and welcoming environment that is also safe, caring, stimulating and structured. Staff offer opportunities for young people to enjoy new experiences and make a positive difference to them during their stay, and for parents, in turn, to get the chance for a valuable short break.

Candidtes will support young people are supported to achieve maximum mobility and independence and there are opportunities to make friendships through social and community events. The first-class design and modern facilities go a long way towards transforming the quality of life for children and young people while they have a break.
 
Skiils and Experience Needed:

• Working experience of working with Children and Young People with profound learning difficulties
• Working experience of working with Children and Young People with challenging behaviour
• Ability to use a hoist 
• Manual Handling trained
• Restraint trained 

Job Requirements:

• An enhanced DBS that is of satisfactory level is essential
• Must have a minimum of 2 years solid working experience within the same role
• Must have an NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or an equivalent
