One of London's Largest Local Authorities is looking for a Deputy Team Manager, to assist Team Managers in supervising and supporting Social Care staff, to provide a range of family support services for children in need, including those in need of protection, children looked after, those subject to public care proceedings and where directed by the court those subject to private care proceedings.

This is a full time, permanent position with great training and development opportunities. Ideally as the Duty Team Manager you will need to have MASH experience along with experience with Leadership and Management.

Your responsibilities as a MASH Duty Team Manager:

  • To deputise for the Team Manager and assist in the management of the team in a manner that is responsive to legislative requirements as well as corporate and national priorities
  • To assist in the formulation of the service plan to ensure that all staff have a clear understanding of Team priorities
  • To provide reflective thoughtful supervision to staff directly linked to improved outcomes for children
  • To assist the Team Manager in motivating, developing and performance managing a team of staff capable of meeting its objectives through the process of induction, training, supervision and team meetings
  • To keep an overview of casework held by supervisees at all times and ensure that assessment, planning, monitoring and review functions are undertaken in an efficient and effective manner
  • To be responsible for achieving and maintaining best practice standards and quality assuring of all casework undertaken by self and others, including supervisees
  • To work alongside the Team Manager to be responsive to User's needs, comments, questions and complaints and to assist in the investigation and resolution of issues at a local level wherever possible
  • To work alongside the Team Manager in ensuring that team expenditure is in line with managerial delegated authorities, team plans and Best Value principles

Requirements of you as the MASH Duty Team Manager:

  • Recent experience of working within MASH
  • A recognised Social Work Qualification (Degree/DipSW/SQSW)
  • HCPC registered
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience of working within Leadership and Management

Salary: Up to £44,253 per annum, based on experience
