Tradewind Social Care are currently recruiting for experienced permanent Support Workers, to work in a children's residential setting for children with Autism and SEN in South West London.

Main duties:

  • To contribute to the provision of a secure, stable, supportive environment for young people which respects and promotes their health, culture, religion, race, identity and lifestyle
  • To safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people
  • To provide personal care and support to the children and young people
  • To follow policies and procedures and ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment at all times
  • To work as a keyworker to children and young people ensuring all keyworker responsibilities are completed
  • To carry out personal care as required whilst maintaining privacy and dignity
  • To participate in domestic duties as can be reasonably expected
  • To maintain daily routines within the home which provides a framework for development of a positive culture of care
  • Establishing and maintaining positive, caring relationships with children, young people, their families and other professionals
  • Provide a safe, stable and supportive environment that caters for the cultural, physical and emotional needs of the children and young people
  • Provide advice and support to children and young people regarding their social, physical, emotional and spiritual needs
  • Encouraging and assisting children and young people to be as independent as possible in all areas of their lives
  • Plan and participate in various internal and external social and leisure activities

Essential Skills & Experience needed:

  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care OR 2 years' experience in a residential SEN setting OR 2 years' experience working with children with SEN

Experience of working with children and young people aged 9-18 with Autism and SEN
