Arch Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Complex Needs Project Workers, to work in the Highbury and Islington area. The service provides accommodation and a high level of support for people with issues relating to substance use, offending and mental ill health across two properties.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Friday, covering early (8AM - 3:30PM), mid (10AM - 4:30PM) and late (3PM - 10:30PM) shifts. Cover is required on a rolling monthly basis. The pay rate is £13.80 per hour, with £1.67 holiday pay, totalling £15.47 per hour.
In this position, you will be required to:
- Hold a caseload of 4 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed Support Plans that are person-centred, trauma informed and enable progression
- Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments
- Respond to referrals within agreed timescales for both in-house referrals of existing service users and by supporting new referrals to the Service
- Participate in the delivery, evaluation and development of the in-house Recovery Programme
- Enable services users to acquire greater insight into their problems, identify potential solutions and strengthen their readiness to change
- Coach service users, advocate on their behalf and make appropriate referrals to specialist services
- Ensure key clients' income is maximised by accessing appropriate benefits, supporting to acquire budgeting skills, and set up bank accounts
- Prepare void rooms for letting within agreed target times
- Carry out room and building checks and report and follow up all hazards/repairs/maintenance issues in a timely fashion
- Support clients that may be ready to move into work, education, or training by assisting them to access suitable courses or placements
To apply for this role, you must have:
- Experience of working with people who have high support complex needs (for example; substance misuse, mental health, offenders, street activity etc) in a hostel environment
- Understanding of residential services delivering support and accommodation to complex needs service users
- Experience holding a caseload and delivering personalised assessment and casework, Support Planning, goal setting and advocacy
- Understanding of the issues that typically disrupt progress in journeys towards independence such as mental health, substance misuse, self-harm etc
- Understanding of the Strengths & Recovery Model and the ability to apply this within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE)
- An understanding of how trauma and adversity have the potential to create re-occurring incidences of multiple disadvantage
- Ability to work with clients to create a multi-agency care plan
- Ability to engage, support and motivate clients
