Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Recovery Coordinator, for a service based in the borough of Camden.

The service provides support for people aged 18 + in recovery from substance misuse with a specific focus on obtaining employment or other activities that maximise the changes of employment, such as education, training, accredited qualifications and volunteering. The service works to achieve ETE outcomes within a 12 week support period.

Main duties:

In this position, you will provide support through regular 1:1 assessment and develop case working for a caseload of 20 clients who have been mandated onto the programme because of offending and drug use. You will develop goal focused action planning sessions and facilitate group sessions, including a structured day programme. You will maintain positive working relationships with referring agencies and ETE providers, and network and broker new opportunities. You will take the lead on a designated 'key area' at the service, and keep accurate and up-to-date records of client assessments, action plans, personal details and contact notes.

In the role you will also be require to promote the development of social skills and peer mentoring relationships, improving self-esteem and recovery. In addition to this, you will provide structured support with substance recovery, minimising harm and preventing relapse.

Skills and experience:

  • To apply for this role, you must have experience of working with clients in recovery or who are still actively using drugs and are offending. Candidates must also have an understanding of the issues relating to substance misuse and have the ability to motivate people who are abstinent or reducing their use to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Experience of working with probation and offender management
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM. The role involves a mixture of working from home and in the office which will be dependent on government restrictions
