Arch Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Recovery Coordinator, to work in the Camden area. The service provides support to people in recovery from substance misuse with the aim of helping them obtain employment.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM. Cover is required for approximately 3 months.
Please note: this is a hybrid working role and involves working from the service and from home. You will be provided with a phone and laptop to work from home.
In this position, you will be expected to:- Hold a caseload of 20 key clients conducting regular key work session resulting in goal-focused support plans
- Assess referrals by arranging and carrying out holistic assessment interviews, providing an outline of the service and ensuring the referral criteria is met and suitable clients accepted onto the programme
- Complete risk and needs assessments
- Support clients to move into suitable education, training and employment
- Work with clients to identify barriers, strengths and goals, with a focus on employability
- Support clients to access mental health and recovery support
- Ensure clients are achieving ETE outcomes within 12 weeks, as well as developing a plan to achieve longer term goals
- Plan and deliver regular group sessions ensuring a creative approach whilst adhering to a structured session plan
- Provide advice and guidance on Benefits, Housing, Offending, Health and wellbeing
- Promote activates that support recovery, including social activities, basic relapse prevention, exercise, healthy eating and participation in mutual aid groups
To apply for this role, you must have- Experience of working with clients in recovery or those who are actively misusing substances and/or offending
- An understanding of issues relating to substance misuse
- The ability to motivate people who are abstinent or reducing their use of substances to achieve positive outcomes
- Experience of providing ETE support, guidance and advice to socially excluded groups and an awareness of the barriers to accessing and sustaining ETE activities
- Experience of brokering new opportunities for socially excluded client groups including volunteering and training placements and employment opportunities
- Experience of assessing clients' needs and developing individual, goal-focused action plans with the emphasis on accessing ETE activities
- Experience of planning, facilitating and delivering group work sessions with a focus on employability and confidence building
- The ability to work in partnership with specialist service providers or agencies (e.g. substance misuse, mental health, offending) in order to ensure clients receive appropriate levels of support
- Experience of managing complex and difficult situations in relation to this and other vulnerable client group(s)
