Senior Residential Support Workers Children

Are you currently looking for a new role? We are recruiting for experienced Senior Residential Children Support Workers to work in the below areas of London:

  • Greenwich
  • Erith borders

  • Plaistow Newham

Main Role

To provide day to day care of children and young people within an environment of pro-social learning that promotes positive attachments and relationships

To support young people in maximising their potential in a safe and caring environment

To achieve the highest standard of service delivery as measured by Ofsted against the Children's Homes Regulations including quality standards 2015

The young people you will be supporting have various needs including physical or learning disabilities, mental health problems, addiction issues or other emotional or social needs.

Ensuring each young person's placement/care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs

Acting as a role model and demonstrating appropriate pro-social ways of dealing with problems.

Attending team meetings and making a positive contribution to them

Actively contributing to the development of the team, being willing to give and receive constructive feedback on performance with colleagues and managers

Ensuring young people's records are kept up to date and are accurate, providing assessments, written reports on young people for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings as directed by the manager.

Being aware of the placement/care plans for all young people in the home and maintaining consistency in the execution of those plans

Being aware of all organisational policies, procedures and requirements of the Children Homes Regulation 2015 and ensuring all recording of information.

To register with Tradewind you will need a minimum of 2 years' experience working with Children and be able to supply up to 5 years referencing. An enhanced DBS will need to be completed or if you have one on the update service this can be accepted.
