Support Worker - Young People

***YOUTH SUPPORT WORKERS REQUIRED IN SOUTH LONDON***



Our client provides safe solo /shared semi-independent living for young people aged 16+ in housing crisis. Working together with local authorities we help young people to maximise their skills with flexible, personalised support packages designed to help young people successfully transition into independence and adulthood.
Each Young Person has an allocated Key Worker. Our client also provides follow-up support when the young person moves into their own accommodation.
 
Essential:
 
NVQ Level 3 Children & Young People
Control & Restraint Training
Mental Health Experience
Dealing with Challenging Behaviour
 
Supporting young people with a range of needs such as:
 
Attention deficit disorder
 
Attachment disorders
 
Autistic spectrum disorder
 
Offending behaviour
 
Gang involvement and exploitation
 
Mental health issues
 
Moderate learning disabilities
 
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
 
Self-harming behaviours
 
Temporary Position Ongoing – Up to 40hrs per week.
