A great opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to join their Children's Services within the Wakefield area.

You will play an important role in driving the department's objectives forward. You will work closely with child care teams towards improving the general outcomes our Children and young people and their families.

The responsibilities of a Team Manager includes:

  • To effectively manage a Team of social workers and social care staff including all responsibilities whilst effectively contributing to the management of Children and Young People's Services
  • To play a key role in delivering high quality services and meeting performance targets for field social work
  • To ensure that services are delivered in compliance with relevant legislation, local and national policy and guidance
  • To supervise and be responsible for the practice, analysis and decision-making of Advanced Social Work Practitioners, social workers, social work students and social care staff
  • To develop the skills and knowledge of individuals and teams within child and family social work services

Requirements of a Team Manager:

  • HCPC registered
  • 2 years recent management experience
  • An enhanced DBS that is of satisfactory level is essential
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence

Salary: Up to £41.00 p/h, based on experience
