Our Process

Face to face candidate interviews
A personal consultation is conducted to gain an understanding of the candidates experience, their requirements and their suitability to work within social work.

Application Pack
All candidates will need to complete our registration pack including:
Professional conduct, DBS (Disclosure barring service), WTD (Working time directive), Confidentiality and National Fraud Initiative declarations. You will also be required to complete a fitness to work questionnaire/declaration.

Verification of right to work
We sight and copy passport and visas (if applicable) and follow the Prevention of Illegal Working protocol as set out by the UK Border and Immigration Agency.

Verification of Qualifications and Professional Registration i.e HCPC
Copies of all qualifications and registration documents are taken and recorded along with all training certificates issued in the last 12 months.

Enhanced DBS (Formerly known as CRB)
Tradewind Social Care applies for an Enhanced Disclosure for all candidates. Enhanced DBS certificates are renewed every year.

List 99 check
A List 99 clearance is performed for all candidates who interview with Tradewind Social Care to ensure candidates are not included on the list of known child offenders.

Minimum of 5 years verified and authenticated references
Candidates must submit contact details for referees who can provide professional references for the last 5 years including the most recent/current employer.

All original documents are sighted at registration by one of our trained Candidate Compliance team members. In order for your registration with us to be as quick and seamless as possible you will need to bring original documentation to your registration meeting.

Documents required:

   Your passport and relevant visa (if required)
   Proof of National Insurance Number (NI card, P45, pay slip, HMRC letter, etc)
   Driving License (photo card and paper counterpart)
   2 separate proofs of address (must be issued within the last 3 month – bank statement, utility bill, etc)
   Social Work or Social Care related qualification/s (if any)
   Most recent DBS (formerly known as CRB) and copy of overseas police check
